Property for Rent in Fontvieille, Monaco

Fontvieille is one of Monaco’s most popular residential areas, located in the southwestern corner of the Principality and bordering the French town of Cap d’Ail. Fontvieille is home to some of the Principality’s most luxurious apartments for rent, as well as a large number of businesses and its largest commercial centre. Monaco’s second harbour, the pretty port de Fontvieille, is also located here. Fontvieille was designed by Italian engineer Gianfranco Gilardini with the first cornerstones of the Principality’s newest district being laid by the then Crown Prince Albert of Monaco (now H.S.H Prince Albert II) in 1981. It was created to solve a chronic land shortage in Monaco. The district is home to some of the Principality’s most sought-after apartments which are for the main part located in prestigious waterfront residences with excellent facilities such as swimming pools, fully-equipped gyms and underground parking. One of the area’s most famous landmarks is the Stade Louis II, the home ground of the very successful AS Monaco Football Club which also boasts an Olympic-sized public swimming pool in the stadium complex.
