Introduction

It is well documented that Monaco is the second smallest countries in the world. It measures just over 2km2, with every possible piece of land having been used to build luxury apartment blocks and prestigious homes for the international population that resides here. It may be small, but it is a wonderful place to live, with a cultural, sporting and gastronomic agenda that is second to none and a climate that promise at least 300 days of sunshine per year. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that property prices in Monaco are amongst the highest in the world.

What Makes Monaco One of the World’s Best Places to Live

Monaco frequently tops lists as one of the best places in the world to live. Here are five reasons why:

  1. Favourable taxation rates.
  2. Safety: the Principality is one of the safest places on the earth to live, with a very low crime rate and a very high ratio of policemen to residents.
  3. Luxury Real Estate: although only the size of New York’s Central Park, Monaco is home to some of the most luxurious real estate in the world. In the New York Post, the Odeon Tower has just been named as the most appealing place to live.
  4. Beauty: Monaco sits on the Mediterranean coast, sandwiched between the French and Italian Rivieras. As a destination itself it is breathtaking; within a short drive are some of the most picturesque and stylish resorts in Europe, such as Cannes, Saint Tropez and Portofino.
  5. Business: living in Monaco means that you are perfectly situated to travel to most European cities for business. The Principality is just 30 minutes drive from Nice Cote d’Azur Airport, France’s second largest airport and a hub for international flights.
